Anti-corrosion industrial pumps suitable for pumping acids and bases fluids and highly corrosive liquids

  • Materials available: PP / PVDF.
  • Flow up to 130 m3/h; Head up to 48 mlc.
  • Temperature: PP: max 70° C – PVDF: max 90°C.
  • Max viscosity: 200 cSt.
  • Pressure rating: NP 6 at 20°C.
  • Lip seal for pumps size 95-10; internal PTFE bellows mechanical seal for all the other sizes.
  • Suitable for high corrosive liquids containing solids in suspension (non-abrasive solids – max. 5% – dimension max. 3 mm).
  • Available in ATEX version for zone 2 II3G (pump mod. EM-CO).

Centrifugal pumps series HCO with mechanical seal are made of thermoplastic materials (Polypropylene and PVDF) and are suitable for high corrosive liquids containing solids in suspension. The seal of pumps HCO size 95-10 is guaranteed by a special elastomeric lip seal, while all the other pump sizes (from size 110 to 170) are equipped with an internal PTFE bellows mechanical seal (sic/ceramic), which is manufactured by GemmeCotti.

TECHNICAL DATA

* The head and flow of the pump refer to the performance with water at room temperature. Should liquids at high temperatures and with high viscosity and density be pumped the performance has to be calculated accordingly. The electric motor should be selected on the basis of the viscosity and the specific weight given by the customer.

MANUFACTURING MATERIALS

HCO pumps are made of thermoplastic materials PP or PVDF and they are compatible with most acids and basic liquids, chemicals and other dangerous fluids.

INJECTION MOULDING

The plastic parts of HCO pumps are made by GemmePlast, a company belonging to the GemmeCotti  group, which is specialized in the injection molding for plastic materials.
This allow for a careful quality check of the raw materials and the complete control of the entire molding process.

RELIABILITY

Unlike many centrifugal pumps on the market the pump head of GemmeCotti pumps is fixed to the bracket with 8 bolts. This feature guarantees a firm fastening of the pump head to the bracket and avoid the casing deformation under pressure.

 

REDUCTION OF MAINTENANCE COSTS

The design of the mechanical lip and bellows seals of the HCO pumps are designed and manufactured by GemmeCotti, which allows considerable savings in terms of maintenance costs.

MECHANICAL SEAL

The seal in mechanical seal pumps is composed by a static ring and a rotating ring placed on the pump shaft which is directly coupled to the motor shaft. The two surfaces sliding together need to be lubricated and the seal lubricant is the liquid itself that is being pumped.

FLANGES

On request GemmeCotti provides DIN e ANSI flanges for thermoplastic pumps (cartella + free flanges) and welded DIN o ANSI  flanges for pumps in AISI 316.

BASEPLATES

GemmeCotti baseplates are suitable for pump completed with motor with B3/B5 configuration. They allow the correct positioning of the pump.
